Abstract:
Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) exhibit significant potential as a matrix for generating circularly polarized luminescent (CPL) light. We designed a composite structure based on inverse opal photonic crystals (IOPCs) to enhance the glum factor of a CNC-based CPL film (glum = -0.769). The composite structure will provide a universal platform for developing robust CPL light sources with high glum.
