Abstract:
Here we present the α-aminoalkylation of (methanesulfonyl)azoles with amines and aldehydes under electroreductive conditions to obtain α-arylalkylamines through the radical-radical coupling of α-aminoalkyl radicals, generated by reduction of iminium salts by a cathode, with dihydroazolyl radicals generated by concerted proton-electron transfer (CPET) reduction of sulfonylazoles.
