[Children abandoned by child welfare services: what changes could be made to their status?]
1Département du Doubs, 7 avenue de la Gare d'Eau, 25031 Besançon cedex, France.
Abstract:
Educational assistance sometimes appears inadequate in relation to the child's needs, particularly in cases where those with parental authority are not involved. In such cases, consideration should be given to changing the status of the child in care; the commission responsible for reviewing the situation and status of children in care may be consulted for this purpose and will issue an opinion on the various possible legal developments and the best interests of the child: delegation of parental authority, judicial declaration of parental neglect, withdrawal or continuation of educational assistance. In some cases, the child may become a ward of the state and adoption may be part of their life plan.

Authoritarian Parenting
This style is strict and controlling, with little room for open dialogue. Authoritarian parents demand obedience and often enforce rules with minimal warmth. Children raised this way may lack social skills and initiative, usually comparing themselves to others unfavorably.
