Abstract:
This case report describes a 61-year-old man whose persistent plantar wart was ultimately diagnosed as verrucous carcinoma, a rare, well-differentiated form of squamous cell carcinoma. Initial biopsies were false-negative, but wide excision later confirmed malignancy. This case underscores the importance of trusting clinical judgement and ensuring early intervention for refractory lesions.
