Abstract:
The combination of central stimulants (CS) and antipsychotics (AP) often occurs in both psychiatric and somatic hospitals. In this review, we describe the treatment of acute intoxication with CS and how AP should be managed for various groups being exposed to CS. This review describes a state-of-the-art management of clinical scenarios in which patients are simultaneously exposed to antipsychotics and CS, and the review was written in collaboration between psychiatrists, clinical pharmacologists, and anaesthesiologists, to cover the diversity of the subject as best as possible.
