Abstract:
In 2025, pulmonary infectious diseases continue to pose a substantial threat to global public health. The management of respiratory infections remains challenging, with ongoing antimicrobial resistance and the continual emergence of novel viral epidemics exacerbating the situation. In addition, the global burden of tuberculosis remains unacceptably high. The "delayed diagnosis effect" caused by the pandemic has yet to be fully mitigated. Over the past year, diagnostic technologies for respiratory infections have progressed steadily toward greater precision, and remarkable achievements have been made in the development and clinical application of novel anti-infective agents and vaccines. This article reviews key research developments in the field of respiratory infectious diseases.
