Perinatal quality improvement benefits both maternal and neonatal care. The California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) provides a compelling neonatal-centric model. Rooted in a robust, near-real-time data infrastructure and driven by clinician and family engagement, CPQCC has evolved since its inception into a statewide leader in quality improvement (QI), education, research, and community partnership. Through audit-and-feedback systems, collaborative improvement initiatives, a Family Advisory Council, and integration with outpatient follow-up, CPQCC exemplifies how neonatal-focused perinatal collaboratives can sustain improvement through an engaged community of providers. This article examines CPQCC's history, core operations, successes, and future opportunities.
