Assessment of Stability in Cast Partial Dentures in Elderly Patients: A Clinical Study

Purpose:
This study aims to evaluate the stability of cast partial dentures (CPDs) in elderly patients, assessing key factors influencing clinical performance and patient satisfaction.
Methods:
A total of 50 elderly patients (mean age 68.3 years) requiring CPDs were recruited. Stability was assessed through retention, patient feedback, and clinical evaluations over six months. Statistical analyses were performed to compare stability at different time points.
Results:
CPDs demonstrated satisfactory stability initially, with significant improvement after three months of use (P < 0.05). Key factors affecting stability included occlusal adjustments and patient adaptation. Two summary tables highlight clinical stability scores and patient-reported outcomes.
Conclusion:
CPDs provide reliable stability in elderly patients when appropriately fabricated and adjusted. Regular follow-ups and proper oral hygiene maintenance are essential for optimal results.
