The defined-area bonding (DAB) method offers a reproducible alternative for microtensile bond strength (μTBS) testing of difficult-to-section CAD/CAM materials. DAB bond strengths were equivalent to the peripheral regions of monoblock sectioning technique (MST) specimens.
