Abstract:
An unprecedented catalyst-free cyclization reaction of easily accessed enynone and unprotected hydrazine is reported. Featuring simple reaction conditions, high efficiency and broad substrate scope, this protocol provides a practical synthetic method to access various bio-related pyrazolo[5,1-a]isoquinoline derivatives in up to 82% yields using environmentally friendly solvent EtOH under an air atmosphere.
