The 1st Global Consensus for Clinical Guidelines (GCCG 2026) introduced the first internationally standardized, evidence-based framework for rehabilitation of the edentulous maxilla. This case report illustrates how the structured GCCG 2026 diagnostic recommendations translate into clinical practice in a complex, anatomically asymmetric case.

A 50-year-old man with maxillary edentulism secondary to stage IV generalised periodontitis underwent a GCCG-aligned diagnostic workflow: facial analysis, per-quadrant full-arch classification, flangeless try-in for pre-prosthetic ridge assessment, and dual-scan CBCT for prosthetically driven planning. Per-quadrant classification identified a case with anatomical asymmetry (Class III, first quadrant; Class IV, second quadrant), confirming an FP3 design and a quadrant-differentiated surgical strategy.

The structured diagnostic workflow enabled convergent, evidence-based decisions at every stage. Pre-prosthetic diagnosis established FP3 necessity and validated lip support. The dual-scan protocol supported prosthetically driven pilot-guided surgery. Definitive monolithic zirconia prostheses were delivered with verified passive fit at six months.

The GCCG 2026 diagnostic framework is directly applicable in anatomically asymmetric edentulous maxilla cases. Per-quadrant assessment and pre-prosthetic diagnosis determined all downstream clinical decisions.
