The Impact of Spirituality on the Professional Well-Being of Nurses
Abstract:
The aim of this quantitative descriptive study was to examine the well-being of nursing students, clinicians, and nurse educators and the effect of daily spiritual experiences on their well-being. Researchers have studied these populations' mental health aspects; however, little has been reported regarding their spirituality. Participants completed the General Anxiety Disorder-7 Scale, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale-10, Daily Spiritual Experience Scale, and Professional Quality of Life Scale. Participants who reported having a daily spiritual experience had lower levels of burnout and an increase in their resilience and compassion satisfaction scores.
