Abstract:
This review examines current uses of artificial intelligence (AI) in anesthesiology education and explores its potential to reshape our educational environment. It outlines applications for AI in numerous areas, including adaptive learning, procedural simulation, and competency-based assessment. Additionally, the authors discuss the inherent issues with this technology, including deskilling, algorithmic bias, and data opacity. Ultimately, the article argues for a value-based, ethical implementation strategy rooted in continuous quality improvement, ensuring that AI integration augments human judgment and advances safe, equitable patient care.
