Abstract:
Anesthesiology education faces challenges including exponential knowledge growth, limited faculty time, and inadequate traditional education methods. Education scholarship laboratories offer a departmental solution by providing structured support, resources, and collaborative networks for evidence-based education research and provisions. This article adapts the 8 C's Framework (8CF), to guide establishment of anesthesiology education scholarship laboratories, addressing key elements: departmental context, champion catalysts, favorable conducing conditions, resource collecting, stakeholder convincing, collaborative connecting, anticipated challenges, and intended consequences. Departmental laboratories provide domain-specific expertise and sustainable communities that enhance scholarly productivity, faculty development, and curriculum innovation.
