Abstract:
A seed-mediated method yields morphology-tunable gold nanocrystals (Au NCs) using 4-ATP and CTAC. Adjusting 4-ATP concentration produces Au NCs with varied shapes and LSPR peaks of 579-783 nm, whereas CTAC merely stabilizes particles without altering morphology. Uniform Convex polyhedral Au NCs with sharp tips deliver strong SERS enhancement. Embedded 4-ATP acts as an internal probe for reliable quantification, offering a facile route to self-calibrated SERS substrates for trace analysis.
