The Journal of Nursing Administration
|April 1, 1984
Abstract:
The attitude and behavior of first line managers can greatly influence the success of any health care organization. Managers directly affect 90 to 95 percent of the workers in a hospital. This article offers a specific description of a new process that allows staff to participate in management selection. The author shows how the process, which is a truly participative form of management, increases the success potential of new health care managers.
