[Isolation, identification and frequency of dermatophytes in clinical specimens]

The authors report the results of a research on Dermatophytes isolated from man. Out of 131 strains isolated, 43 (35%) were anthropofilic, 78 (63%) zoophilic and 1 (1%) geophilic. M. canis was the fungus more frequently isolated with a percentage of 50%.
