Supreme Court decision affects bargaining rights of nurses

The U.S. Supreme Court, in ruling that nurses who direct lower-level employees are supervisors, has redefined the relationship of staff nurses with management. Nurses who make assignments for and supervise the work of lower-level employees may not be entitled to National Labor Relations Board protection because of this decision.
