[Infarct of the tongue and hyperlipidemia]

We describe a case of a 49 year-old woman, predisposed to arteriosclerosis, who developed and infarct of the tongue caused by hyperlipidaemia. Treatment and differential diagnoses, including giant cell arteritis, are discussed.
