Abstract:
Baker's yeast transketolase inactivated by tetranitromethane was digested with Staphylococcus aureus V8 protease. Four peptides absorbing at 360 nm were isolated by reverse-phase HPLC and sequenced. The modified tyrosines were identified as Tyr-184, Tyr-210 and Tyr-370.
