Abstract
Objective:
In order to improve curative effect of sudden deafness.
Method:
We adopted ultraviolet blood irradiation (UBI) therapy added conventional pharmacotherapy to treat 70 cases of sudden deafness.
Result:
The general effective rate was 85.6% and there was no complication. In control group we adopted conventional pharmacotherapy only, the general effective rate was 65.7%. There was significant difference between experimental and control groups (P < 0.01).
Conclusion:
The results showed that the UBI is a safety, effective, simple and convenient therapy for the sudden deafness.
