A new dynamic insulin sensitivity index, S(I)(D), offers a more precise and comprehensive assessment of insulin action compared to the classical S(I) index, especially in diabetic patients. This dynamic index improves accuracy in evaluating insulin sensitivity in individuals with impaired glucose metabolism.
