Muscle Stimulation Frequency

The contraction strength of muscles is regulated by motor neurons, which modulate the frequency of action potentials dispatched to the motor units based on the body's requirements. Purpose of the Study:

  • To examine the correlation between trapezius muscle activity and typing speed.
  • To evaluate the effect of taping the UT muscle on this correlation and overall muscle activation patterns.

  • Twelve participants completed a 15-minute typing task, both with and without taping applied to the UT muscle.
  • Electromyography (EMG) was used to record the muscular activity of the UT and lower trapezius (LT) muscles.
