Impact of Thoracoscopic Pulmonary Vein Isolation on Right Ventricular Function: A Pilot Study

Thoracoscopic surgical pulmonary vein isolation (sPVI) significantly reduces right ventricular (RV) function, as measured by TAPSE and RV strain. This adverse effect on RV function was not observed in patients undergoing cryoballoon pulmonary vein isolation (PVI).
