Prevalence of Diastolic Dysfunction in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Nearly half of patients with type 2 diabetes have diastolic dysfunction, a heart-filling problem. Its prevalence increases with age and diabetes duration, highlighting the need for early cardiac monitoring in diabetic patients.
