[Post return of spontaneous circulation : initial care]

Cardiorespiratory arrest is a clinical situation that any physician may encounter, regardless of specialty. A return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) represents a critical and unstable phase that requires structured, multidisciplinary management. This paper reviews seven key areas of post-ROSC management, integrating the 2025 European (ERC) and American (AHA) guidelines, based on their clinical relevance: hemodynamic management, oxygenation targets, ventilation targets, airway management, prevention and treatment of hyperthermia, identification and management of seizures (notably anoxic myoclonus), and the relative importance of emergency coronary angiography.
