Abstract:
We herein describe a three-component radical 1,1-iodosulfonylative cyclization of terminal alkynes via an intramolecular hydrogen atom transfer process enables C-H activation to generate the nucleophilic alkyl radical species for the intramolecular Giese-type radical cyclization and iodine atom transfer sequence to access poly-substituted cyclopentanes. The synthetic utility of the present protocol was demonstrated by a large-scale reaction and synthetic derivatization of the product.
