Unusual cases of hyperparathyroidism

Summary

This study presents five rare hyperparathyroidism cases, including mediastinal adenoma, parathyroid carcinoma, and tertiary hyperparathyroidism. Long-term survival was achieved with surgical intervention for these unusual endocrine conditions.

Hyperparathyroidism encompasses a spectrum of conditions, often caused by adenomas, hyperplasia, or carcinoma.
Unusual presentations and rare etiologies necessitate thorough case reviews for improved clinical understanding and management.
