What Drives Task Performance in Fluency Tasks in People With HIV?

People with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) show no greater impairment in fluency tasks but do produce fewer words in letter and animal fluency tasks compared to unconstrained tasks. Executive functions, particularly updating and monitoring, are key predictors of performance.
