Abstract:
With the rising cost of in-hospital care and the push toward less invasive procedures throughout medicine more physicians should look at the feasibility of performing minor procedures in the office. Excisional biopsy of anatomically accessible lymph nodes, as well as ultrasound-guided core needle and aspirational lymph node biopsies, can be performed in the office space with the correct patient selection and preparation. This approach is cost-effective and can provide convenience to patients.
