Senior Nursing Students in a Repeating Simulation Experience: A Pilot Study

Many students wish for a simulation "do-over" to correct mistakes. When given the chance to repeat a scenario, students demonstrate great improvement and are more likely to sustain skills and knowledge. A quasi-experimental study with a pretest/posttest data collection design was used to determine the impact a repeated simulation experience had on students' knowledge, clinical judgment, and satisfaction. Participants demonstrated a significant increase in knowledge and clinical judgment ( p  < .001) and high levels of satisfaction with the experience.
